Kamurj Terms of Use

These Terms are an agreement between you and the person or entity shown as the app seller in the store where you obtained Kamurj (“Kamurj,” “we,” or “us”). By using Kamurj, you agree to these Terms and the Kamurj Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The beta service

Kamurj is an Armenian reading aid that offers source-backed definitions, orthography tools, synthetic Eastern and Western pronunciation, and a public-domain reading library. It is a beta: coverage is incomplete, features may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.

Kamurj does not claim linguistic authority. A displayed source supports the specific fact attributed to it; missing facts stay missing. Inferred, ambiguous, provisional, or synthetic results are labelled where they appear. Synthetic audio is approximate, especially while phonology remains provisional. Kamurj is not professional linguistic, educational, legal, medical, or other expert advice.

Eastern Armenian, Western Armenian, Mesrobian orthography, and Reformed orthography are treated as equally valid. Loanword notes are descriptive and informational, not corrections.

Anonymous use

Kamurj does not require an account. Access, free usage, and subscription status are associated with a random installation identifier and the applicable store account. Reinstalling, changing devices, clearing app storage, or losing that identifier may reset local state. Use Restore purchases with the same Apple or Google account to recover an eligible store purchase. Some settings do not sync between devices.

Free allowance and subscriptions

The free beta provides a daily allowance shown in the app. A paid individual subscription provides ongoing unlimited access to the metered reading and synthetic-audio features while the verified entitlement remains active.

Before you confirm a purchase, the paywall and store checkout must show the subscription title, included access, billing period, full price charged for that period, and any trial or introductory terms. Monthly and yearly plans automatically renew unless cancelled. Your Apple or Google account is charged according to the terms shown at confirmation and each renewal. Prices, currencies, taxes, trials, and plan availability may differ by storefront and region.

You can manage or cancel through Manage subscription in Kamurj or in the Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect under the applicable store's rules; deleting Kamurj does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled under Apple or Google's policies and applicable consumer law. Kamurj does not receive your full payment-card number.

Paid plans may not be offered in every country. Kamurj may change the free allowance or future pricing prospectively, with the notice required by the stores or law. A change will not reduce access already purchased for the current paid period.

Text you submit

You keep your rights in text you submit. You give Kamurj and its service providers a limited permission to transmit, process, and return that text only as needed to provide, secure, and support the feature you requested. Kamurj does not use pasted passages to build its curated lexicon or a model-training corpus.

Only submit text you have the right to process. Do not submit private, confidential, unlawful, infringing, or security-sensitive material. A tapped word or short phrase requested as audio is sent to the synthetic-audio provider as described in the Privacy Policy.

Sources and intellectual property

Kamurj's app, software, design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Dictionary facts, source excerpts, and library texts may come from public-domain or separately licensed sources. The source card identifies the provenance and license known to Kamurj. Those source materials remain subject to their own legal status and attribution terms.

These Terms do not give you ownership of Kamurj or permission to copy, reverse-engineer, resell, scrape at scale, bypass limits, interfere with the service, or use it unlawfully. Rights that cannot legally be restricted remain unaffected.

Reports and feedback

You may report a result or suggest a correction. Reports become private review candidates; they do not automatically become public linguistic facts. If you send feedback, you permit Kamurj to use it to improve the service without an obligation to compensate you. Do not include text you lack permission to share.

Suspension and service changes

We may limit or suspend access reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce usage limits, investigate abuse or fraud, meet legal or store obligations, or keep the service secure. We may change or discontinue beta features. Where a change materially affects a paid subscription, we will follow applicable store and consumer requirements.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kamurj is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that every result is complete, error-free, or continuously available. To the extent permitted by law, Kamurj is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss caused by relying on an uncertain linguistic result. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Changes, applicable law, and contact

We may update these Terms as the beta changes. The updated effective date will appear above, and we will provide any notice required by law. Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections govern these Terms and any dispute; these Terms do not take away non-waivable rights in the place where you live.
